While undertaking Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), the inter-related socio-economic, cultural, and human-health impacts are considered.

The process typically includes an initial scoping phase to determine if a full EIA is necessary, followed by the creation of an environmental impact statement (EIS) that documents the findings and is made available for public review.
