The Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-A) initiative and its COVAX facility are the main tools to do so.

Thanks to its experience in the coordination of economic policies and its important economic weight, the EU has been able to add significant value to the work of the G20. In return, it has been quite open in taking into account the suggestions of its peers in the G20 and translating some of them into policy action.

As a member of the G20, the European Union is sparing no efort to respond efectively to the coronavirus crisis. The EU continues to mobilise its resources to protect lives, support the most vulnerable and build back better, making our economies more sustainable, balanced and inclusive for next generations.
