2020年4月18日 · I took a Gen5 23 slide on a G45; changed out the ejector and so far nearly 2k and no issues. Took the Gen5 23 frame and put the G45 slide on it. Ejectors was the 9mm set from the original G45 frame. Only 600 down the tube but no issues.

2020年4月19日 · Gen 5 17 & 34 use the same locking block as a 19 & 26 unlike previous gens, however there would be a small gap where the recoil spring is exposed if you used a 45 frame. It wouldn’t make much sense to put a 17 slide on 45 frame though, the 45 frame is the same grip length as a 17 but the slide/rail length is that of the 19.

2025年2月7日 · interestingly i took my 23 year old son to the range along with the g17 gen 3 and the g45 he shot the g17 several times then the g45 and he prefered the g45 hands down. he even shot it better. he also prefered the stock plastic ball in bucket sights in the g45 vs the glock factory oem nightsights on the g17 gen3.

2022年10月11日 · I love the idea of G17 gen5 upper slide assembly on a G45 frame. However, I'd prefer that Glock offer a G19L (G17-length) gen5 upper slide assembly similar in concept to the G48 (with an integrated dust cover). The mix-n-matchability of the G43, G43X, and G48 upper slide assemblies and frames is excellent and hopefully the way of the future.

2021年5月13日 · People were using Gen 4 Glock 23 uppers on the G45 before the Gen 5 G23 even came out. Some are also cutting off the right-hand side lever of the ambi slide stop to better match the single notch on the Gen 4 slide.

2022年3月28日 · If the extractor was removed you should be able to see into the frame and tell if the firing pin safety has slipped down. It could be that the rsa on the 17 has hooked over part of the locking block of the G45 as the G45 has a different locking block than a 17.

2019年8月13日 · There is no advantage to having the G45 over the G17, if concealment is not a concern. In fact, the G45 may be at a very slight disadvantage, for home defense. In comparing the 17 (I can only rate the Gen 4 17) to the G45, I feel the 17 has a touch milder recoil. You'll also get a few more feet per second, per round, due to the extra barrel length.
