The Fiat G.55 Centauro (Italian: "Centaur") is a single-engine single-seat monoplane fighter aircraft designed and produced by the Italian aircraft manufacturer Fiat Aviazione. It was operated by both the Regia Aeronautica and the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana during the latter half of the Second World War.

It was designed by famous Italian aeronautical engineers Giuseppe Gabrielli, starting from the FIAT G. 55 Centauro, considered one of the best Italian fighter aircraft of the Second World War. The G. 59 was produced by FIAT in the early 1950s, in more than 180 copies mainly used in the Italian Air Force as advanced trainer aircraft.

Die Italienische Luftwaffe bestellte seinerzeit 20 Stück der Version 4B, davon 10 einsitzige Versionen und 10 Doppelsitzer. Das Flugzeug wurde mit der taktischen Kennung RS-25 bei dem ITAF (Italien Air Force) Erprobungsgeschwader unter anderem von dem bekannten italienischen Test- und Showpiloten Ricardo Peracchi geflogen.
