The lab has 7 locations strategically located throughout Georgia to provide forensic services to regional and local criminal justice agencies. All services are performed at the Headquarters location.

The GBI supports the state's criminal justice system in the areas of criminal investigations, forensic laboratory services, and computerized criminal justice information.
