Intended for mounting heights of 8m or above, the GEC Z8526 was the last GEC Turtle design produced. They were side-entry only. The enormous lantern ran 250W-400W SON-T or 250W-400W MBF/U. The Z8526 was the remote-geared version of the Z8536, and the cut-off version is known as the GEC Z8524/34.

Thanks to the compatibility between metal halide and high pressure sodium lamp control gear, the Z8526 is able to run a 250 Watt SON-E lamp as an alternative.

This is another Lucky save of mine! this one originates from the Late 70's - didnt come with a lamp but put a Philips 400W lamp , sadly it has a crack where the bowl hinge is, This lantern is VERY BIG!
