2015年8月29日 · I love the 6.0 vortecs, only downside is the fuel mileage when its in a 2500 chassis. They really wake up and make a ton of power with a few mods. I'm actually looking for an LY6 (Gen IV Vortec 6.0 w/ L92/LS3 heads) to replace the 4.8 in my Sierra RCSB. With a nice mild cam this thing will easily make well over 400whp/400wtq.

2024年5月27日 · I had a 2018 Silverado 2500 with the 6.0 for about 50k miles. It was a solid truck. The Chevy ride is great. All around a good truck. The 6.0 is pretty slow imo. It has guts but they’re buried pretty far down the pedal. I also currently have a 2021 F250 with the 6.2. The 6.2 is noticeably faster and peppier than the 6.0.

2022年10月27日 · Nice level of detail! In my experience, the sloppy piston to cylinder clearance is a bummer on your 6.0. The last 6.0 I did had texas speed porting on stock heads with their stage 1 low lift cam and ls6 springs. Mahle power pack forged pistons and oem everything else. It ran super well and passed CA smog too!

2015年10月14日 · Come on Brian, I know your a mopar guy now, by the gm 6.0 is not that bad. Put the hp numbers and the torque numbers against a 4.8 or a 5.3. My 6.0 is plenty fast, and I'll pull your barn down i you want. Only complaint with the 6.0 is the gas mileage.

2023年11月15日 · The best way I have heard it described is think about towing with your 6.0 completely empty (that's what a moderate load on a new diesel is like). The 6.6 gasser is going to feel like you have the bed of your 6.0 loaded down ( towing a moderate load) Depends on how much you really tow and if the expense is worth the luxury.

The 6.2 is a superb engine in the 1500 but is mostly about fun and being sporty. Couple buddies have them in 1500s. We work for GM. Edit: I just double checked. The 6.2 is not offered in the HD pickup category. Only the 6.0 and the 6.6, which is incredible.

Trying to decide between the 5.3V8 gas Versus the 6.2 gas, versus the 3.0 diesel for new chevy Silverado. It says the mpg is the same for 5.3 and 6.2 but that doesn’t make sense to me. Damn that sucks, my friend had to replace 6.2 on new escalade only 15k miles same thing died on a highway, even dealer told they had many 6.2 s with engine fails, when i said it here people started argue with me, if its great ill say its great but fact is that 6.2 is a ticking bomb unfortunately
