2023年7月17日 · Connecting a singlewire can ground to can low and signal to high is kind of a hack way to communicate on SWC, but it works. But shorting can low to ground on a normal can network will pull the network down, causing no communinucation to be possible anymore, explaining why your gauges go down. I’ve looked at the GMLan bible, but I can’t figure out from there, I can’t even make heads or tails of the spreadsheet, it seems all over the place. Im using my Android phone with serial Bluetooth connection to issue commands.

2019年12月1日 · For GMLAN, you should tie CAN_L to ground and CAN_H to the single-wire bus. I believe GMLAN has a 29-bit ID so you will need to use the "extended ID" options. I haven't interfaced with GMLAN before but from my understanding, this should likely work. Make sure you aren't filtering for just standard 11-bit IDs; that could be the issue.

I bought the OBD II adapter from CANBus Triple website and out of the box it will read the high speed CAN bus, but I need to wire up the low speed CAN (GMLAN) to the CAN + on the CAN2 receiver on the device.

I've got a little project underway for engine swaps that doesn't require a BCM to translate to the low speed SW LAN for IP gauge info.

I would need more info about the make model to give you a %100 answer but generally the gmlan is used for the door chime and seat belt chime. Some models have info in the radio like oil life and stuff. Some of the cars are shitty and wont run if that circuit is broken. Source GM tech
