Accelerating out of one of the many speedos on the Millinocket Sub, Maine Northern's southbound 910 job is seen crossing the flowage from North Twin, outside Millinocket, Maine. NBSR SD40-2s 6332 and 6304 are leading a leased GMTX GP40, the 3055 (a former Pan Am unit), and a good sized train of wood products from northern Maine.

The NBR trio: New Brunswick Southern Railway (NBSR), Eastern Maine RY (EMRY) and Maine Northern (MNRY) serve the former Canadian Pacific line between Montreal and St. John. Together the lines connect Brownville Jct with St. John, Canada's second busiest Atlantic port; so their connections are quite important.
