2024年12月24日 · Agis has among his many breeds 15% GSD (okay 3% of that is WSS but close enough - 12% proper GSD) and 8% malamute (with 12% husky). I have to agree with @techinstructor though about the bad rap malamutes are getting here. Let's face it, there are one million stories of unbalanced GSDs doing aggressive things.

I just got tons of replies about bans, cultural differences and temperatures from people who have never been outside the US - but don’t have a problem keeping the dogs in Arizona, Nevada or even worse, Florida.

They are not flopping, but they are not standing either. I hate it, too. I purchased him from a breeder/AKC judge who has some beautiful GSD's,but somewhere in the gene history were soft ears.

2006年3月22日 · A White GSD carries genes for normal coat colors, but a separate gene on a separate locus can mask the normal coat color and make the entire dog white. It is NOT true that thre is "a lot of inbreeding" in them, nor is it a mutation.

2011年12月24日 · GSDAlphaMom, could you find an example of a GSD head looking like akita? I keep hearing about it and have a hard time picturing. Carmspack, thanks so much for the great examples. All those dogs are working lines, and their heads are beautiful and look very similar to my dog's. What I love is that they have pretty long muzzles and nice stops.

2013年4月8日 · I have been looking at a lot of pictures here and searched a bit, but have not seen a discussion on typical GSD markings. Emma is now 4 1/2 months and her adult coloration is beginning to show. Sorry I don't have a picture, but she is the typical black and tan with a bit of red at the ear base and forehead. I love the red showing up.
