Looks like Garmin actively wants us to buy new $100 HRM's after every battery change. Wahoo HRMs now also have running dynamics and are $50 only. And you can change the battery without killing the device.

2025年2月18日 · The activity recaps on the Garmin connect app do not indicate that my HRM was in use (as it used to before). I tried to manually connect the device in the watch menus yesterday but after a few minutes of running my watch lost track of my position and then seemed to switch back to wrist sensing. Garmin connect still didn't show the use of the HRM.

2024年12月15日 · Only 1 problem is with firmware 18.16: if connect HRM pro plus to Fenix7 18.16, after finished the activity, the HR will be inceased abnormal about 1 minutes before comeback to normal. I informed to Garmin support, and they admitted this is problem, will be fixed about january 2025.
