Opteon™ XP30 (R-514A) refrigerant is a non-ozone depleting, low global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based replacement for R-123. It is suitable for new and retrofit systems, offering an optimal balance of properties, including high energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

R514A (Opteon™ XP30) – an Azeotrope with zero glide is a low GWP HFO-based refrigerant developed to replace R-123 in low prfessure centrifugal chillers for commercial and industrial applications, suitable for new systems and retrofits. Although non-flammable it has been designated B1 and is at the higher end of Ashrae’s toxicity classification.
