2018年4月9日 · After that GAU-5, and then the GUU-5 in about 2010. 2012'ish we got M4's. And I bitched every second about not having a GUU or GAU. I like them very much especially for what I was doing. I built a GAU-5 on one of the 1:12 barrels in original foil packaging datestamped 1993 from the EE back in 2009ish. It's as close to issue without the fun switch.

2020年8月11日 · Vickers Tactical GAU-5/A/A Clone Video Larry does a nice little video on "Colt's" GAU-5/A/A clone that's actually made by U.S. Ordnance. Looks a bit more authentic than the Troy for double the money. (Assuming it's MSRP is the same as the XM177E2's $2600)

2011年7月25日 · There seems to be some discrepancies in the markings of the GAU-5A/A. The Colt in the very nice pic that lt557 posted looks to be marked GAU-5/A/A, while others seem to be marked GAU-5A/A, which would appear to follow the standard marking convention. I’d like to see some other pics if people have them.

2021年3月21日 · I don't think OP is talking about a "retro" GAU-5, he's talking about the new Aircrew Self Defense Weapon version. The actual ASDW uses a standard M4 "waffle" stock. If you didn't want something that was extendable, the OG SB15 brace has that kind of look.

2023年8月23日 · Been looking at doing a GAU 5A Aircrew Self Defense Weapon (ASDW) build recently but am having difficulty searching for the exact Midwest G3 10" handguard to complete the parts list. I understand it was discontinued by MI a few years back but wondering if anyone has been able to find them? I believe the part number is MI-G3ML10. GAU 5A Image

2023年10月10日 · The GAU-5's as "mixmasters" is a fallacy. USAF bought GAU-5 carbines starting with the GAU-5/A through (and mostly, in my experience) GAU-5/A/A's. Once they began to wear out they got 14.5" 1/12" barrels and became GAU-5/P's. This was probably for a short time as they had to transition away from M193 ammo.

2019年10月29日 · Regarding the parts under the GAU-5A's handguard, I found in an archived thread from earlier this year within this very forum that supposedly the USAF is using the ERGO .750 LOW-PRO ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCK gas tube interface. It confuses me as to why the USAF would use an adjustable block to arm folks who would not wish to adjust the port size.

We are proud to have been involved in the development of this project and have been discussing the idea of releasing a clone in pistol form.

2016年9月4日 · I'm going to send some 80% lowers out for engraving and re profiling, I haven't decided if my carbine is going to be a GAU-5A or an XM177E2. But on retro Black rifle it looks like both are Full fence lowers, and both are marked Commando.
