2022年3月27日 · 2K is a bargain since there were only 500 of them made. I’ve seen them sell for much more. Hell, I paid much more. The original GAU-5/a/a were black, not grey which is why the retro reproduction is black as well. Only 2 I can find for sale on the bet right now.

Colt XM177E1 : GAU-5/A clone build questions. - AR15.COM
2023年10月10日 · The GAU-5's as "mixmasters" is a fallacy. USAF bought GAU-5 carbines starting with the GAU-5/A through (and mostly, in my experience) GAU-5/A/A's. Once they began to wear out they got 14.5" 1/12" barrels and became GAU-5/P's. This was probably for a short time as they had to transition away from M193 ammo.

Knowing full well the Air Force is a master of mix-master, Franken Carbines, An early slab side Air Force model 601 or 602, upgraded first with Gen II stock and probably a 14.5" barrel in the late 70's would have the requisite A1 grip.
GAU-5A/A Receiver Marking Pics? - AR15.COM
2011年7月25日 · There seems to be some discrepancies in the markings of the GAU-5A/A. The Colt in the very nice pic that lt557 posted looks to be marked GAU-5/A/A, while others seem to be marked GAU-5A/A, which would appear to follow the standard marking convention. I’d like to see some other pics if people have them.

USAF Carbine GAU-5P ===CONCLUSION with Pics of Build
2016年10月6日 · As best I can remember the lower said Colt AR-15 then M-16 with GAU-5 stamped by it. You could tell it was hand stamped, albeit poorly. Some carbines had the the old info lined out and others were X'ed out. I think one of the GAU's we had an Anniston Army Depot marking on it too. I carried these things like 10-12 years ago so my memory is fuzzy.
