The Tesla GEN2 on-board charger (OBC) is a single/three phase 10kW AC charger that was fitted in the Model S from approx. Oct2013 until it was replaced in the 2016 'facelift' model with GEN3. It was the first Tesla OBC capable of fully utilizing external 3-phase AC; previous Tesla OBCs lacked the external wiring for three phases.
