Our legacy begins with our founders, Dr. George G. Glenner and his wife Joy. Dr. Glenner was a physician and Alzheimer’s researcher at the UCSD School of Medicine and worked tirelessly to better understand the pathology of the disease.

In 1982, Dr. George G. Glenner and Joy Glenner created the nation’s first adult day care program specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. Now, with another “first of its kind”, we proudly introduce TOWN SQUARE ®.

For 40 years, the Glenner Centers have been caring for loved ones with dementia Monday through Friday, 8:45 am-5:15 pm. We knew that our families still needed our help outside of our operating hours, so we designed a program to do just that!

The George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc.® provide specialized day programs for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Care is available Monday through Friday with full-day and half-day rates available.
