During his fight against Dyspo, Goku uses Super Saiyan Blue in tandem with Super Saiyan God, in order to maximize his speed and power. Goku also used Super Saiyan Blue to go through K'nsi's explosive threads, taking no damage from the explosions and easily overpowered him.

Goku uses Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken against Gohan. Goku later used this in a one-on-one match against a full power Ultimate Gohan in preparation for the Tournament of Power. Although Ultimate Gohan was able to hold his own with a normal Super Saiyan Blue Goku, when Goku used Kaio-ken, he defeated Gohan after the two clashed.

Goku attains the Perfected Super Saiyan Blue form in the Dragon Ball Super manga by overcoming the stamina flaw of the Super Saiyan Blue form. He improves his endurance through rigorous training and develops a technique to contain his radiating aura within his body.
