Gorelord is a Norwegian death metal band which uses horror movie-like themes in its music. It is the one man side project of Frediablo of the band Necrophagia. Contrary to some reports, Gorelord is based in Oslo, Norway.

"Gorelord" is the name of an ultra violent & extremely heavy metal monster. Created back in 1999, by the 28-year-old Norwegian Frediablo (Necrophagia, Wurdulak, Soul Forsaken, Grimfist) and inspired by supreme Italian and American underground horror films such as Fulcis "The Beyond", and Tobe Hoopers "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (to name a few).

Gorelord was formed in 1999 by Frediablo (singer, guitarist, bassist) of various projects like Wurdulak, Grimfist, Necrophagia etc. He soon recorded and released the demos "Alive when Fucking the Dead" and "Crucified Goat Drenched in Blasphemic Blood".

Gorelord is essentially the one-man band of Necrophagia part-timer Frediablo who is responsible for at least two dozen bands in Norway alone. The omnipresent man delivers a solo gore metal operation here that is mostly mid-paced, is topped with two kinds of growls and captures the essence of the genre well.
