Goro (Japanese: 五郎) is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. The Prince of the Shokan and former champion of the Mortal Kombat Tournament, he is one of the most recognizable and memorable characters in the series. He is a frequent, recurring antagonist in the series and major ally to the sorcerer Shang Tsung.

Goro is the four-armed shokan warrior, the known champion of the Mortal Kombat for nine generations, having been undefeated for 500 years. He is the the emperor's favorite warrior as well as serving as the commander of Outworld's armies.

Goro Akechi, an ace detective, publicly condemns the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, viewing them as criminals. Secretly, he is involved in the events causing the Thieves' downfall, including Okumura's death.
