Saudi Arabia’s promise to turn the desert green and rehabilitate over 74 million hectares of land over the coming decades. Commitments to increase protected areas, bolster biodiversity and safeguard the Kingdom’s diverse and beautiful natural environments.

Saudi Arabia has activated 85+ initiatives to help reach the three targets under the Saudi Green Initiative and achieve long-lasting positive change. The initiatives range from afforestation and biodiversity protection to emissions reduction and establishing new protected areas.
