Gugh (/ ɡjuː / GHEW; Cornish: Keow, lit. 'hedge banks') [1] could be described as the sixth inhabited island of the Isles of Scilly, but is usually included with St Agnes with which it is joined by a sandy tombolo known as "The Bar" when exposed at low tide.

In 2022, Time Out magazine listed Grant as one of Britain's 50 greatest actors of all time. [7] Grant made his feature film acting debut in Privileged (1982), followed by the romantic drama Maurice (1987) for which he gained acclaim as well as the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.

St Agnes is the southernmost populated island of the Isles of Scilly — Troy Town Farm on the island is the southernmost settlement in the United Kingdom. St Agnes joins the island of Gugh by a tombolo, a kind of sandbar, called the Gugh Bar, which is exposed only at low tide. The Gugh is inhabited, with some three residents.

Jun 3, 2024 · The leaning menhir known as the "Old Man of Gugh" is 2.4 metres / 8 feet tall and stands on a ridge on the small island of Gugh in the Isles of Scilly, UK. The archaeologist George Bonsor dug around the base of the menhir in 1900 but did not find anything.
