2010年9月7日 · Keif did not mention anything about alignment of the guibo ( two-stage universal joint ) or the alignment of the universal joint at the center bearing support in his DIY article. Can these precaution be omitted and why? The attachment is for a 3-series but the 7 series appears to be very similar in design. Thanks for any feedback.

2011年4月30日 · A note to add to this...the M3 bolts should be used instead of what the non-M car currently has. The bolts are actually slightly longer to account for the thicker guibo. Hex nuts for the guibo are lock nuts and one time use only, so make sure these items get ordered.

2011年9月29日 · So I'm getting ready to do the guibo joint on my E65 and stumbled across a company called Rev Shift who makes cnc machined with polyurethane flex discs. In looking through the web site I didn't see any listing for E65/66. So I figured I would call and get the verbal "no dice" as well. Tons of other BMW's listed so what they hey right.

2011年1月2日 · the gist of the discussion is that the common "guibo" and common pronounciation are both incorrect. the correct spelling is giubo, and the correct pronunciation is either "gee-yew-bow" or "jew-bow". the flex joint was invented by Dr. Boschi, an italian engineer, and giubo is simply a shortened version of the term Giunti Boschi ("Boschi Joint").
