2024年7月27日 · It seems I suddenly need HEVC extensions to play video recorded on my iphone and transferred to my windows 11 laptop. Does any else get this problem? If I forward the video to friends will everyone else need to buy these extensions?

2024年9月25日 · After the recent Microsoft update of HEVC video extensions it stopped working in both the Edge browser and the Netflix app. YouTube still works fine in 4K. In understand that many if your customers who, like me, paid for the HEVC driver and have the same problem but it's obviously got bugs in it.

2024年1月4日 · Microsoft Edge does support HEVC in Windows where there is a GPU which supports hardware decoding of HEVC. It also works in Linux with GPU hardware decoding through VAAPI.

2018年3月17日 · The free one will only work if your device already provides a way to process HEVC-encoded content. High-end video-processing devices released in 2015 and most (but not necessarily all) such devices sold in 2016 should support this.
