2021年8月3日 · The Yamaha HL500 — aka the “Aberg Yamaha” — is one of the most fascinating motocross bikes of the 1970s. In 1975, Yamaha introduced the TT500 — a twin-shock, four-stroke single-cylinder enduro built in the tradition of the British 500 singles — and the street-legal XT500 appeared a year later.

Yamaha’s XT500 was never supposed to be a race bike – Yamaha specifically designed it for the American market as a dual-sport. But Torsten Hallman (4x World MX Champion) and Sten Lundin (2x World MX Champion) of Sweden were excited by the possibility of the 499cc Yamaha engine and thought it could become the heart of a champion.

2005年2月7日 · Geoff Morris builds replica HL 500 frames in OZ (I can get you his email/phone no. if you're interested?) the kit includes an alloy swingarm etc, and he also has available most of the other frame bits to go with it. A guy in NSW does the replica seats and plastic. You will need an YZ125C or YZ125X tank (the YZ175's are as rare as hens teeth!)
