2021年8月3日 · The Yamaha HL500 — aka the “Aberg Yamaha” — is one of the most fascinating motocross bikes of the 1970s. In 1975, Yamaha introduced the TT500 — a twin-shock, four-stroke single-cylinder enduro built in the tradition of the British 500 singles — and the street-legal XT500 appeared a year later.

Although Yamaha was skeptical at first, when the HL500 was used for the 1977 Motocross MX Grand Prix season with Bengt Aberg as a pilot, the company benefited from great visibility and publicity for the 500cc engine. Aberg managed to take its 4-stroke engine bike to 9th overall by the end of the season and even won the Luxembourg GP.

2015年8月10日 · I was fortunate enough to find an original Hallman/Profab HL500 over the weekend. I almost didn't buy it but I am sure glad I did. I showed up to look at it, and decided not to buy it, but on my way home I sent some photos to a "guru" and he told me it was the real deal and that I should turn around and buy it.
