Helm leases locomotives under many reporting marks. HATX, HLCX, HLGX are the most obvious, but MKCX with or without MPI on the flanks are also locomotives that Helm now owns. These MKCX units are included on this page.

HLCX 6341 is sandwiched between a BNSF and UP. Ex Southern Pacific EMD leads CSX freight Q300 east on the Trenton Line. CSX Q300-22 (S. Philadelphia, PA - Oak Island, NJ) flies eastbound through Piscataway, NJ on the first morning of Fall 2012.

2017年1月21日 · All 61 units, including 8 units (UP 1934, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1950, 1964, 1965, and 1970) still in their 1910-series numbers, were retired in February 2003 due to expiration of operating lease from Locomotive Leasing Partners (LLPX); some individual units had their leases extended in 30-day intervals.

These Helm Leasing (HLCX) units are 3000hp GP40-3's. There are 3 blue and maroon (4400, 4401, 4402) and 6 silver and black (4404, 4405, 4408, 4411, 4413, 4414 ). All the Helm units are former GP40's rebuilt to GP40-3 specs. In other words, they have all new electronics and computerized fuel monitoring systems.
