2016年1月2日 · The HMM-364 Honor Roll is an ongoing effort to pay tribute to those Purple Foxes who were recognized with personal decorations for their valor and devotion to duty during their service in Vietnam. We recognize there are untold others whose awards yet remain undiscovered and unpublished.

While the 1st Marine Division (1st MarDiv) was preparing to charge north through Iraq, the Purple Foxes were tasked with supporting a variety of missions. As expected, HMM-364 would fly traditional assault support missions such as troop insertion and resupply.

Upon returning to Da Nang the evening of 27 April 1964 the pilots of Dragon Flight and HMM-364 gathered at the Da Nang Officers Club to celebrate, not hold a wake, for their safe return. The drink of choice was a "Nickalashka".
