The current version of the 840 G3 BIOS might not work, so you should also try an older version, when you locate the BIOS download on HP.com there should also be a link below it to download "Previous Versions"

2020年9月9日 · I used HP Support Assistant to install the latest version N75 Ver. 01.49, and now when starting or rebooting, pressing the esc key basically does nothing. No menu on the screen, and the computer continues to boot into Windows.
