I don't know why in your case but my machines from HP, Dell, Lenovo worked as on ad highlighted on the following table . Note: My dock is an HP USB-C G5 (5TW10AA).

Feb 1, 2020 · What does "HP Envy TE01-0014 " mean if there's so many versions? If they change something like the layout, why don't they assign a version, like TE01-0014 v3? Why shouldn't I be able to drill down in the USB controllers to see the actual USB ports properly identified by number? It would show properties like 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 etc.

Tested the available DP alt modes in the BIOS and reset BIOS to factory - Issue still present. USB-C ports still recognise other devices including the docks, flash drives etc - Only display output affected.
