Suggestion for a decent HSS pickup set for Fender Strat
2021年6月28日 · One, get one of Lindy Fralin's prewired HSS sets. Will cost you about $400. Great pickups and Lindy is an amazing guy. Two, there's a website that sells Suhr MLs and an SSV wired in a HSS configuration. This will be more expensive, around $550 ish. I think the name of the place that sells this is Rothstein guitars or something like that.

2024年2月15日 · I'm a huge fan of the Thornbucker, so for this set I'm thinking of trying out the new Thornbucker II. I have a few pickups in mind for neck and middle - Antiquity Texas Hot, Lollar 64's, and Suhr V63+. The Eric Johnson pickups are truly awesome but I'm kind of getting over the super bright sound.

2019年3月12日 · HSS, because #4 Cleans Matter. I have found an even cooler alternative for my Jackson Soloist. I have a rail humbucker at the neck, and use the inside coil only for #4 along with the middle position stacked single for a more authentic #4 sound, but then it goes full rail at #5 and is much warmer than a single coil.

2023年10月16日 · Got a EBMM Cutlass HSS and I love the way it plays...it's pretty much flawless in that regard. Been playing 20 years and this is my first HSS guitar. Absolutely hate the pickups tho; they are dull and lifeless IMO. I want to make this guitar very versatile, so initially I was thinking of a splittable humbucker in the bridge.

2016年8月23日 · With Tom Anderson's Switcharoo scheme at least with HSS set ups, there's a way to quickly switch from the bridge humbucker with a 500k volume pot and with a 500k pot in parallel with a 500k resistor (like a 250k pot). The difference is subtle but it's there.
