Halo 3 - why dont people like ARs : r/halo - Reddit
AR's in Halo 3 just suck for anything but close range combat. However, AR starts should 100% be standard. Halo is a sandbox shooter. The BR is a power weapon within that sandbox in the mid-tier. BR starts renders most of the sandbox useless when everyone starts with a long range weapon that can 4 shot an opponent.
The halo 3 assault rifle is awful : r/halo - Reddit
2022年8月22日 · The Halo 3 Assault Rifle was meant to beat out the Battle Rifle in close range quarters with a quick enough burst to finish off with a melee. And when used in that regard it does work. Plasma Rifle is even better at this and is super slept on as a result.
Never Realized How Bad the Halo 3 Assault Rifle Was... - Reddit
2014年12月17日 · I really can't stand using the Halo 3 assault rifle. It's a pea shooter, and isn't even that effective at close range. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but every other version of the assault rifle felt great, especially the Combat Evolved AR; really packs a punch.
How did the assault rifle change during halo reach and combat
Reach’s AR is the MA37/MA5, the UNSC army designates it the 37, navy designated it the 5. It is the oldest MA5 series rifle, but the army still uses it as the standard issue CE’s AR is the MA5B 3’s AR IS THE MA5C 4 and 5’s AR is the MA5D
I replaced Halo 3's wimpy Assault Rifle sound with the one
2020年11月26日 · Many of Halo 3's sound effects are just stock sounds that the devs got from royalty free sound libraries, and I heard the assault rifle is just a stock sound of an M2 Browning machine gun. If you found different recordings of that gun, you could probably get a beefier noise that still remained faithful to the original.
The Halo 3 AR sounds like a pellet gun or something : r/halo - Reddit
I looked at Halo 3’s weapon files using Assembly after 3 came to PC, and I learned that AR bullets have a velocity of “80”. For comparison, BR bullets have a velocity of “180”. Most people don’t know this, but you have to slightly lead your shots with the AR even at close range to hit anything
Halo 5's Assault Rifle was actually well balanced. : r/halo - Reddit
2021年2月17日 · The Halo 3 AR does significantly more damage than Reach's and has equal DPS to 4's, surprisingly. The Halo 3 AR does 7.5 damage per bullet (equal to 4's AR), while the Reach AR does between 5.834 and 6.788 damage per bullet. This means you can kill someone in 16 shots from the Halo 3 (or 4) AR, while it takes an average of about 19 shots in Reach.
Was there ever an official explanation for why the AR, the ... - Reddit
2017年12月13日 · Probably just for gameplay. The SMG in halo 2 basically fills in for the AR. BR is for medium to long ranges. While the AR/SMG are short to medium ranges. By Halo 3 Bungie had people complain for the lack of the AR and just included everything. Lore wise I just tell myself the AR just wasn't used by the UNSC the Chief came across.
br starts suck, change my mind : r/halo - Reddit
2022年8月20日 · I actually really enjoyed Halo 5’s AR starts. The AR was powerful, the Magnum was powerful. In Infinite the Sidekick just feels like shit, you have enough ammo to barely kill someone even with 70% accuracy, and at the same time, if someone is one shot a good 2 dozen meters away, it’s better to AR someone than try to get a sidekick headshot at a distance.
The AR is one of the worst ongoing guns in the franchise : r/halo
2022年5月16日 · Decided to share an opinion ive held for a long time, which i assume is highly unpopular given how iconic the AR is. Don't get me wrong, its as halo as a gun can be, but theres not one game in the franchise where id pick the Assault Rifle unless i was left with nothing else or one of the few guns i consider worse (H4 suppressor comes to mind).
