Hans (ハンジ Hanji?) is the Commander of the Scout Regiment in the live-action films Attack on Titan, The Movie: Part 1 and Attack on Titan, The Movie: Part 2; as well as in the web miniseries Attack on Titan: Hangeki No Noroshi. They are the live-action counterpart of Hange Zoë from the original Attack on Titan manga.

Hannes (ハンネス Hannesu?) was a unit captain (部隊長 Butaichō?) of the Garrison. He was also a close friend to the Yeager family and was responsible for saving Mikasa and Eren 's lives from a Titan. Hannes was a tall, well-built man with short blond hair, a thin dark mustache.

Hange was a genius, using their brain to create weapons, tactical plans, and inventions for the benefit of humanity. As a leader, Hange was thoughtful of their comrades, and could easily figure out complex problems in order to create plans for their teammates to carry out.

The Kodansha/Crunchyroll translation uses Hange Zoe. The romanisation (Romaji) for ハンジ・ゾエ is Hanji Zoe. This is also used in the official German translation (Hanji Zoe). The Live-Action movies (consensus recommendation is: don't watch) used Hans.

If “Hans” is strictly a male name, then maybe it is not suitable for Hanji because they are canonically non-binary in gender. - Suniuz
