2022年9月19日 · Hax$ made a 2 hour video claiming Leffen’s presence would destroy the Melee community. The video was a mixed bag of legitimate criticism, conspiracy theories, and amateur psychoanalysis. The video was deemed “harassment” and Hax$ has been banned from tournaments for over a year.

2022年4月20日 · The decision of whether or not to unban Hax is really not about Leffen. I think what Hax did was deliberately rile up a shit ton of grifters who feel justified in harassing people with any excuse. These people often don't play melee and express a lot of paranoid conspiratorial behavior, often aimed at women.

Leffen obviously was the only one who successfully became top 5, even after a year long ban from smash europe the year prior. Westballz sort of stayed at the same level (even with steeper competition) and then Hax up and disappeared from insomnia and eventually his hands made melee unplayable (see the update on the front page rn).

After talking to the rest of the staff however, and acknowledging their experiences of having dealt with Hax for much longer of a time than I have in an administrative sense (I joined NYC Melee staff at the end of 2022 and became Head TO middle of 2023), I was convinced to vote for a permanent ban.

2024年1月24日 · The one good thing about Nintendo actively trying to kill Melee is that these community leaders aren't going to get to make vague statements from a position of power and will need to find something else to do. Hax was sick and has spent the last full year apologizing.

2021年6月22日 · I wouldn't summarize it as "Hax called Leffen Hitler," I'd summarize it as "Hax released ~3.5 hours of videos and hundreds of pages of writing which made a number of exaugurated claims about Leffen and called for him to be kicked out of the Melee community based on these overblown claims."
