In this work, we present experimental L 3 -edge HERFD-XANES and 2p3d RIXS on the series of LnTp 3 complexes (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu) and analyze the experimental results with theoretical calculations based on the density functional theory (DFT) and the atomic multiplet theory for XANES and RIXS, respectively.
