2016年6月27日 · Continental 240 Good engine, but pricey and heavy Rotex R2800 This engine looks promising. Lot of good reviews, reasonable price. But on the heavy side while being on the low end of power. Hirth 3003 Reasonable price and very light. However, 2 cycle, which is almost a deal breaker for me (just a lot of stuff I don't want to deal with)

2006年6月30日 · I have a Hirth 3003 (F30) installed on this gyro. I have not decided if I am going to use a di-pole or build a foot rest for the rear seat (ground plane) and install a fiberglassed rigid antenna extending from the bottom.

2006年1月7日 · I need to know what size (either CCA or Amphrs) battery to use on my hirth, It has a 20 amp charging circuit, it burned up the key west regulator, I now have the correct hirth (VAPE) regulator. Engine is currently NOT electric start.

2003年11月3日 · Just relaying another Hirth engine success story..... we wish. :o A friend of mine who flies a kitfox with a hirth F30 had enough of his "Hirth" experience at 66 hours gave up and is now going Rotax. I do not know the whole story but he was able to get a grand back from the same distributor...

2015年4月26日 · I tried different Hirth engines on the SnoBird line around 2000 and was not pleased with any of them. The F30 blew a cylinder in 5 pieces, without warning, and the factory rep blamed us. (we never did anything but plugs) I believe it was at the 87 hour mark.

2023年10月23日 · Actually, the only problem David has had with his Hirth has been a gearbox rebuild due to it being operated previously without oil in the gearbox. He is rebuilding his carburetors to lower his temperatures in the mid-range at this time. I believe he has around three-hundred fifty hours on the engine. Click to expand...
