What's so special about the Honda ATF - Z1 - Bob is the Oil Guy
2005年9月28日 · For me it gives me the feeling I am being charged more money for i.e., the Toyota Honda brand name. Since Honda and Toyota do not manufacture their own fluids, some vendors are actually doing both their's and oem for i.e., Honda and Toyota. I have seen open market stuff for 1.09 vs 5.50 per qt. for literally the same stuff.
Generic replacements for Honda ATF-Z1 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2004年6月24日 · 1) My local Honda dealer actually doesn't use the Honda ATF unless on request. They use Valvoline's MaxLife DEX/MERC, the one that apparently meets the requirements of ATF-Z1 according to the bottle. They're a Valvoline shop, so that doesn't really surprise me, but it must work well enough (and be defensible enough in a warranty claim …
Recommend Trans fluid that meets Honda ATF-Z1
2006年11月14日 · So Honda's Z1 is the only ATF that will meet their spec. Same with Toyota's T-IV and WS fluids. But additive companies like Lubrizol do test their ATFs and universal ATFs in real transmissions. Last edited: Oct 14, 2009
Equivalent for ATF-Z1 | Honda Ridgeline Owners Club Forums
2012年8月21日 · I came across this while researching fluids for my Nissan Pathfinder. According to Castrol Spec Sheet, this exceeds the standard for Honda/Accura ATF-Z1 NON-CVT transmissions (Exceeds JASO-1A). Currently out of stock on Amazon, but looks to be $65 for three gallons. SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than the Honda branded product.
Honda ATF-Z1 or ATF-DW1 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2008年3月18日 · I'm getting ready to buy another case of transmission fluid for my 2005 Accord with 192K miles. I usually do a drain and fill every 15K miles with ATF-Z1. I see that Honda is discontinuing Z1 and replacing it with DW1. Should I buy a case of DW1 or Z1? My gut tells me to just get the Z1 since it...

HONDA ATF-Z1 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2011年4月27日 · It has been replaced/superseded with the new Honda DW-1 ATF which is a synthetic ATF. Right on, or ANY ATF that says compatible or suitable for ATF-Z1 is an excellent choice. Amsoil, Amalie, Castrol Mult-Import or Valvoline Maxlife to name a few. All that aside, it's the Honda 4cyl, AT equipped vehicles that run on forever. It's when Honda ...

2018年8月2日 · It's pretty clear that the Honda OEM fluid is the only one that has that Magnesium additive here. Must be unique properties in it with regard to the clutch packs here. To me, I'd love to see the discussions at Valvoline, Castrol, etc when they analyzed DW-1, see all of the zinc and magnesium and almost no phosphorus, and determine those ...
Dexron 6 to Honda Z-1 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2019年12月2日 · Is ATF z1 the same as ATF dw1? Answer: aft-dw1 is the replacement for atf-z1. If your honda specifies atf-z1 you can use atf- dw1. Both fluids are compatible with each other. I would go with the dw1 and forget about using the Dexron 6
Honda DW-1 Alternative | BobIsTheOilGuy
2013年5月15日 · 1) DW-1 is great and Honda's outdated Z-1, which oozed from the Devil's ear, was long overdue for replacement. 2) Honda's need DW-1 or they'll blow up and it'll be your fault. Seriously, the Honda mechanics I spoke with just said to use the DW-1. However, the '07 (Odyssey) and the '10 (Accord) trannies I was maintaining, were of the improved ...
