2019年9月28日 · As expected, I couldn't just turn a block of wood into planks like you'd normally do. So, I looked in JEI, and it said to use a saw. The thing is, to get a saw, I need iron, and to get iron, I need a furnace and a pickaxe, and to get those, I need a crafting table, and to get a crafting table, I need planks.

Get an iron saw, when used in a crafting table with logs/planks, you get the normal amount of wood/sticks you get in vanilla. If you're looking for a source of wood, villages sometimes have "markets" that have tons of wood and food in some of the chests, but I mainly suggest just spending some time cutting down trees.

You can craft wool for a sleeping bag/bed by using 4 plant strings. Very useful for when you can't find sheep or yales. You can also convert plant string into regular string by crafting wool with 3 regular string and 1 plant string. The friendly outpost does not have guaranteed trades anymore.
