2016年10月27日 · The Hug a Rig Day, now in its seventh year, is a day out for the families of children and adults with special needs and life-long medical conditions. The main event drawcard is a 25 minute round trip through the Gore District in a Big Rig or Classic Car, which as one participant said, is looked forward to all year by many children.

Organised by Diane Elstob and husband Ian, the Hug A Rig day is all about providing youngsters facing lifelong medical conditions – both physical and intellectual – and their families with an opportunity to go for a ride in a cool rig, big or small.
