Oct 1, 2006 · The HZJ 73 has bigger birfields and a smaller ring gear. Pro and con. It also has coils in the front which make it work better. 12 or 24 volts is generally market dependent and both have their benefits. Nothing to be afraid of. IS summery, drive them both. see which one you like more. You can't go wrong.

Jan 17, 2012 · Not to familiar with the HZJ but it looks like a semi float rear end Do you have drum brakes? If you have drum brakes it is a semifloat rear end Also a good indicator is that it has the inspection cover on the back which is only on a semi floater not on the full floater

Jan 25, 2021 · For your stated use, I would recommend looking for a KZJ78. The coil suspension will be much nicer to live with in a daily driver and the smaller, turbo diesel engine will feel quicker around town and get the same or better mileage. In addition, the KZJ is geared higher than the HZJ, making it a better highway cruiser.
