But I was talking to my 17-year-old cousin (who has had sex before) if it hurt his girlfriend the first time. And he had said that she was screaming and she felt as if she wanted to die.

Getting really good at something takes time, repetition and persistence! You’re only 13 once, so allow yourself to enjoy it! Go to slumber parties, make new friends, try new sports, learn a martial art or how to play an instrument, join a choir... do it all. Now is the time to seize the day.

If I could go back in time and give my 13 year old self advice it would be: Delete social media. All of it (except maybe Reddit lol).

The only alternative to toys (since you're too young to buy any) would be touching yourself; that's normal, too. Then, experiment until you find what you like... that way, when you're older, you'll be comfortable telling a boy/girlfriend what works for you.

Another big reality to deal with is the law (at 13, you’re likely not of the age to even give legal consent⁠ to sex), and an even bigger one is what you need to BE ready materially and practically.
