Hey guys, I recently have built a pretty awesome gaming rig. I got the i5-7600k so that I had the capability to overclock. I currently have it overclocked to 4.5ghz @ 1.3v with XMP enabled, so I can achieve my full 3200mhz DDR4 ram. My question is, is it worth it to go higher than 4.5ghz?

2023年9月3日 · The 7600k is the issue. I've been considering an i3 13100f + new motherboard. There's probably a lot more you could tweak and mess around with to get it to play better, and I suspect we'll see some better performance mods that aren't just ini tweaks soon.

2017年11月23日 · Used to believed this when i bought my 6600k 2 years ago. Yes majority of games i5 is enough but heavy multiplayer online games such as battlefield 1 made my 6600k bottleneck my 1080. I regret not paying extra for i7. My Next upgrade will definitely be i7.

2020年12月21日 · If it's the 7600k you have, I just recently found out after posting in this thread that my cache was probably making my OC unstable, so I dropped it all the way to 38 and i was able to get 5.064 GHz stable on 1.32 V (x48 * 104.3 BCLK).

2017年7月16日 · I have an i5 7600k that I have successfully overclocked to 4.8 at 1.25v using a Hyper 212 Evo. So far, testing in Aida64 and in several games, my absolute max temp has been 70c (65c with gaming only, which is what I primarily do). I am darn happy so far but I wanted to know your thoughts on if I should go for 5GHz.
