The TS7700 is a fully integrated, tiered storage hierarchy of disk and tape. It leverages the benefits of both technologies by storing recent, frequently accessed data on disk to maximize performance in backup-and-restore operations, while moving older, less accessed data to tape, minimizing storage costs and securing long-term retention.
