interpret this chapter, IC 4-2-7, or the rules adopted under this chapter or IC 4-2-7, upon: (A) request of: (i) a state officer or a former state officer; (ii) an employee or a former employee; (iii) a person who has or had a business relationship with an agency; (iv) a special state appointee or former special state appointee; or

IC 4-6-2-11 Compromise of claims Sec. 11. No claim in favor of the state shall be compromised without the approval of the governor and attorney-general, and such officers are hereby empowered to make such compromise when, in their judgment, it is the interest of the state so to do. IC 4-6-2 #1124 - Illinois Central : Originally built by ALCo-Richmond in March of 1913, Illinois Central #1124 (serial #53206) worked until a rebuild and renumbering to IC #2065 in March of 1942. The loco was later sold to Tennessee Central in March of 1945 where it lasted until it disappeared off the roster in January of 1953.

The 4-6-2 type, or "Pacific", as the class was known, was the predominant steam passenger locomotive during the first five decades of the 20th century. Between 1902 (when the first North American locomotives of this wheel arrangement were produced) and 1930, about 6800 locomotives of the type were built for US and Canadian service.

Under the Whyte notation for the classification of steam locomotives, 4-6-2 represents the wheel arrangement of four leading wheels on two axles, six powered and coupled driving wheels on three axles and two trailing wheels on one axle.

While many IC 4-6-2s were equipped with smaller driving wheels during Paducah's rebuild program and reassigned to freight service, No. 1196 kept her high-stepping configuration for the passenger service pictured above.
