IC 448 is a HII Ionized region in the Monoceros constellation. IC 448 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. IC448 - Stellar Scenes
IC448 is a compact bluish reflection nebula laying at 2.4 degrees north of the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros. The upper side of this picture has captured the southern edge of reddish emission nebula of Sh2-273 which includes the Cone Nebula. IC448 has a span of about 15 arc minutes.
