Jan 18, 2021 · The IC-7300 and Icom again returned to the low power preamp we see in the older Icom radius. The PR-781 is simply not appropriate for this radio. The Heil ICM is what you need, it is an electret mic, and it works very well with the 7300. On the other hand, the IC-7800 works very well with a PR-781 right out of the box.

Jan 23, 2018 · On the transmit side, I wonder if the 7610 is any cleaner than the awful 7600/7800 transmitted noise specs. (see K9YC.com for some tests) Only the FTDX5000/FT1000MP Mark V Field had dirtier transmitters than the 7600/7800. Also wondering if Icom fixed the transmitted power spike issue.

May 21, 2015 · The backup saves your audio, frequency and other settings. You will be able to restore them after the firmware update. The last update for IC-7800 was like a new Radio. I hope the 7600 will make several more changes to compare with the FT-3000 functions. Wayne

The filter settings of the IC-7300: Normally you have to set the radio to the broadest RX filter to receive as much as possible because everything else is controlled by the digimode programme.
