The Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) is a six-year programme of the Government of Nigeria funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The programme aims to improve incomes and food security of poor rural households engaged in production, processing and marketing of rice and cassava on a sustainable basis.

The Federal Government of Nigeria is implementing the 6-year IFAD-supported Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) in six states of Nigeria, namely: Niger, Ogun, Taraba, Benue, Ebonyi and Anambra. The programme, which was prepared in 2010, was approved for a loan of USD 74.4 million and grant of USD 0.5 in April 2012.
