In this lab, we will go over different multicast common deployment scenarios. 1st section will cover PIM dense mode and its behaviour and 2nd section covers PIM sparse mode. Both sections starts with configuration, and ends with debugging, validation commands and packet captures.

The Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) is the protocol used by hosts to notify the local multicast router on the segment that they want to start receiving or stop receiving multicast traffic for a given multicast IPv4 group address.
