In June 1979, the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant began mass producing the IZh-38, a spring piston air rifle designed by German Protopopov. The new design was based on the earlier IZh-22 rifle. The list of IZh-38's improvements over its predecessor included updated iron sights, a forged barrel with 12 grooves, and a more readily producible receiver.

I've been searching the internet but cannot find any accurate specifications or manuals. The information I'm looking for specifically is muzzle velocity. The rifle is a hand-me-down so it did not come with a manual. Thanks!
