2024年4月16日 · There is now a NACS-to-CCS adapter available (made by Lectron). It's orderable and shippable. Problem is that it will not work with the ID.4 yet - I asked Lectron. Additionally, if I specify ID.4 as a vehicle type in the Tesla app, it doesn't show any Supercharger locations available as DC charging options.

The Volkswagen ID.4 uses two charging standards for its inlets – Type 2 and CCS. The Type 2 inlet is used when charging at home or at public slow and fast AC points. The CCS inlet is used to carry high power during rapid DC charging from a CCS connector.

Of those, about 6,000 are DC fast charging stations, with about 4,300 available to Volkswagen ID.4 owners with its standard CCS plug. The Volkswagen ID.4 comes with three years of public DC fast charging on the Electrify America network at no additional cost.

This is for an NACS male plug to a CCS female port. It is the right type of adapter for an ID4 to charge at a Tesla station once they have access in 2025.

I am currently checking out the 2024 VW ID4 and was curious as to if anyone has used the Lectron Vortex NASC to CCS adapter or similar to charge at Tesla Supercharging stations? (Not the built-in Magic Dock stations)

2023年6月12日 · NEVI money is for new installs, as the goal is to close gaps in coverage along interstates with 150kW+ charging. NEVI rules also stipulate that the CCS connector has to be part of the charger at the site. So, new sites with Magic Docks are the only ones that could qualify.
