In 2020, the IISL is celebrating its 60th Anniversary! To mark the occasion, the IISL is having a competition to design a special 60th anniversary logo to be used throughout the year. All IISL members and prospective members are eligible to enter the competition, and the winner will receive a copy of the most recent Proceedings of the IISL.

The International Institute of Space Law (IISL) is the global association for space law with individual and institutional members from almost 50 countries. The IISL’s key mission is the promotion of further development of space law and expansion of the rule of law in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

We asked Katarina to share her inspiration for the logo. She designed it around the original IISL logo, incorporating it in the design, and using the same colours and starry sky theme. It represents both space and law in a clean and minimalistic style, using clear and visible text.

Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka (IIESL) established in 1977 as “All Ceylon Engineering Diplomates Association“, was transformed to a professional body under the name of “ Institute of Engineering Diplomates, Sri Lanka”, by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 64 of 1992).
